Matt, the son of John and Cindi McPherson, began working intermittently with the team when he was home on leave. A Marine now on inactive duty, he joined the team completely in 2004. Matt is known for his sense of humor and solid support as a FAS team member. His SAR special interests include map and compass, GPS work, and mountaineering. Sharing a family with dogs Buster and Belle, Matt comments that he has "a little brother and sister" in these close-knit doggy siblings.
