MARK9 trains in three disciplines: Area Search, Human Remains Detection (HRD), and Trailing.  We do this by seeking out training locations all over the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and the surrounding counties and placing our handlers and their K9s in as close to real situations as training will allow.

Some of our canines are trained to find both live and deceased victims, while some specialize in a single discipline. Regardless of the search, deploying handlers bring their trained canines on every search because what starts as one type of search sometimes ends up as a different type in a different location.
